A Saint from Lebanon
From Annaya, emerged a silent monk who came to speak to the whole world, gathering around his tomb believers from all confessions and religions, bringing to them a message of hope, healing, and reconciliation with God.

On December 1, 2025, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV knelt in reverence at the tomb of Saint Charbel at the Monastery of Saint Maron - Annaya. During his visit, the Pope prayed and reflected on the life of the hermit monk Charbel, highlighting four essential pillars that shaped his spirituality: prayer, silence, humility, and poverty.
On the northern side of the monastery square is an inn for those who wish to spend a few days to meditate and pray near Saint Charbel's tomb.
In the vicinity of the monastery is located the "Mountazah of Saint Charbel", a restaurant which offers a rich selection of traditional dishes in a warm and special atmosphere.
The monastery produces Annaya wine, jams, grains of all types and fruits and vegetables from the monastery land. All this can be obtained from the monastery's Mouneh shop.
The Monastery’s Bakery offers products prepared according to authentic traditional recipes. From pastries to daily bread and sweets, each item is made with carefully selected ingredients and a spirit of dedication and attention to detail.
Within the peaceful grounds of the Monastery is located the Soap Village, a place where handcrafted soaps & candles are carefully made using natural ingredients. Visitors are invited to discover these artisanal products, prepared with care.
The Monastery’s Souvenir Shop offers a meaningful selection of religious items and sacred icons, chosen to reflect the spiritual heritage of the Monastery. Visitors are invited to take home a tangible memory that carries the spirit and blessing of Annaya.
O Saint Charbel, pray for us.
"I tell you solemnly once again, if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I shall be there with them." (Matthew 18:19-20)
